Hey water people!
So, just what is a deck boat?
A deck boat is a Deep-V hull that was a design with focus on bow balance with more passenger weight like a pontoon or tritoon in front of the boat.
On a Deck Boat or Deep-V hull, the front or bow of a deck boat is more stable for a group of people to lounge on the bow and enjoy stability of balance than on a fishing type boat with a V hull which is best for cutting larger waves in deeper waters on far off-shore fishing trips into the Atlantic, Pacific, or Carribian seas and the Gulf of Mexico, or the Great Lakes of Michigan or other oceans or seas of the globe.
The Chaparral Sunest 233 is a great family watercraft with classic design of the wrap-around windshield and ability to damper cockpit area with walk-through doorway. When we break away on the Gulf or the 25mph stretches along the Intracoastal Waterway where dockside eateries abound.
The Chaparral Sunesta is a rare breed of entry-level big water cruising with the stability of the deep v hull of a deck boat. With a length of 23' plus swim platform that covers the rear propeler and provides water level lounging, the Sunesta 233 has a capacity of 14 people or up to 2,000 lbs. Casey Key Rental has a limit of 10 people and 1,800 lbs to rent our Sunesta 233 for safety and protection.
Notice, the tall, protective Gunwales of the sides of the vessel.
They provide a secure surrounding for your guests onboard. On port side of this amazing watercraft is a head with privacy door, sink, stowage area and great seating.
These photos were taken at Snake Island, Nokomis, Florida in the Casey Key and Venice area.
The small and convenient land mass was once a different place, it is now being rehabilitated to be a wildly saugh after excursion in the Key of Captain Casey, Casey Key.
If you look closely at the bottom center of the island, you wll see this beautiful 2001 Chaparral Sunesta 233, chillin' in the summer fun.
This great family day cruiser is just the thing to get around Casey's Key in style and comfort.
The photo to the right was taken on Blackburn Bay, Osprey, Florida between Sarasota and Venice. Eve's Tavern and other fantastic entertainment venues welcome boaters with docking and service. Check the current tidal conditions as the waters near are of shoal and require care and knowledge to traverse safely.
North of this vast open bay is the Blackburn Bridge a swinging bridge built years ago and still funcitonal. This separates Little Sarasota Bay and Blackburn bay in Sarasota County, Florida.
